Today was Grand Final day at softball. Unfortunately the boys got smashed.
Here's the boys before the game and the day got just too much for Kae shortly after the presentation.

POTD 19th March 2010 - New Shoes
On our way down the Coast we stopped at Harbour Town where Kae scored a new pair of shoes.
Here he is modelling his new socks and shoes - with the help of a bribe of a gingerbread man. Yep, I'm as shocked as you that he actually stood still!!

POTD 18th March 2010 - Waiting for the pretty birdies
Last time we visited Currumbin Wildlife Sanctary we missed the bird feeding, so this time we made sure we made it!!
There weren't very many birds around so we were waiting for a while. Once a few decided to come to us, Kae tried to pat them.

POTD 17th March 2010 - Assignment 3, Reflections
So I have a 3rd and final assignment for my photography course, this time - reflections. Danny had the week off work so we decided to spend a few days down the Gold Coast. Lucky for me that our balcony looked out to the new Circle buildings, complete with reflections!!

Today was Danny's birthday and as luck would have it, the Titan's played host to the Warriors on the Gold Coast. We were lucky that we didn't get too wet!
Unfortunately (for Danny) the Warriors lost.

The kids rarely get to see Aunty Bridget as she's a "mexican" LOL ! (she lives just over the boarder in NSW).

POTD 12th March 2010 - Footy's Back!
WOOHOO!! Footy's Back!!
Tonight we went to the first of many footy games this season and the first ever game for Olivia.
Kae has been hanging out for the last week, even counting down the sleeps! He was looking forward to the Broncos, the horse (Buck the horse that does a lap after each try), the pig (the Hogs Breath Cafe Mascot that does the rounds), and the girlies - that's his father's influence!
Olivia wasn't fazed at all, she chatted on the bus the entire way from the club to the stadium and as soon as we walked out of the stadium gates after the game she started up again. The noise didn't worry her at all, she was great!
Ok, so these photo's are certainly not technically good, purely snapshots to capture the moment.
Couldn't pick just one either!

POTD 10th March 2010 - Assignment
So we have another assignment for our photography course. The last one was well received (YAY!) but this one is a bit tricky. We have to photograph Power, Wealth, Opulence, War Memorials, Patriotism and golly it's hard without going out and about, the freaking rain and carting the kids with me. Only stipulation with this one is ISO 100.
So Peta and I wandered around the place today to find some subjects. Alas, I have 4 out of the 6 shots we need as patriotism. Still got to take a few more shots - due on saturday!

POTD 6th March 2010 - Little Hand & Brotherly Love
Olivia rarely has her hands out, she's always got her fists ready for a fight! So when I saw this I had to capture it.
Kae decided he wanted to give his sister a cuddle - doesn't happen that often. So I grabbed the camera and stretched it for as much as I could. Thought it was too sweet not to include it.

POTD 5th March 2010 - Unimpressed
Still raining!! I wander downstairs and Shaggy is kipping on the tramp again, ahh captive subject you may say! - Noooo!! Just as I was setting up he wakes up and slowly makes his way over to see what I'm doing - he was not impressed! Never work with children and animals they say! Shaggy is just as bad as the kids! Just when I think I've got the shot - he moves!

So it's a warm day and Kae is in just undies. It's about 3:30pm and Kae is getting tired and takes himself to the potty. He does his thing and comes out sans undies. I ask him to bring them to me to put them back on - but, because he's tired, he cracks a tanty. I go to find them and they are nowhere to be found. I ask him over and over to find them and the tanty continues. I leave him to calm down and after a couple of minutes I go and investigate as it's mysteriously quiet.
This is what I found. I made sure his rudey bits were hidden. This one is being put away for his 21st!! He woke up about 10 mins later when daddy got home.

Yep, you guessed it - STILL RAINING!!! Couldn't resist, had to include one of my bathing beauty - she LOVES the bath!

POTD 2nd March 2010 - Pea Pod
Today was Pea Pod day. What's a Pea Pod I hear you ask? It's a capsule type machine that measures BMI for babies. When Olivia was born we were asked if we would like to participate in a research study about gestational diabetes and it's affects on babies growth after birth. We are in the control group and each visit Olivia's length, head & belly circ and weight are taken, then it's into the pea pod she goes to measure her BMI. The pod is sealed, heated and has plenty of air circulating. This is all done at birth (day 3 I think), 6 weeks, 3 months and 4 1/2 months.
It was hard to take these shots, O wouldn't sit still and she's only in there for about 2 minutes. This time she was quite happy to be in there, last time she screamed!
One of the researchers said that the data they are getting from this study is going to really change how they treat women with gestational diabetes - good to know that the study is worthwhile!

Well today is a wet and miserable day, so no chance of getting any of my new assignment done.
Since building his table and chairs, Kae loves playing with his trains on it. Please excuse the end of the couch in the corner of the shot, gotta take the opportunity to catch Kae when you can!

POTD 27th Feb 2010 - Footy's Back!
I was all ready to get some shots for my new assignment down at softball and it rains!! Needless to say the camera didn't come out and it wasn't until I was sitting down watching the Charity Sheild match that I remembered that I hadn't taken a photo! So with the kids asleep and Danny asleep on the lounge, it was just me and the Footy.
